Nigel Snow holds on for GT1/GT2 victory
Nigel Snow has held on to take victory in the finale TradeZone GT1/GT2 race of the weekend at Pukekohe Park. Marvyn Towers put in a valiant effort to try and steal the win but ultimately was unable to do so and had to settle for second place. John De Veth charged from his massive handicap to finish third, within a sniff of the leaders.
Scott Carswell took fourth place after being overtaken by a charging De Veth on the final lap ahead of race two winner Brian Gray who finished fifth. Kerry Jones and Morris Turner were next to cross the line in sixth and seventh with Hans Ruiterman and Nigel Karl in eighth and ninth.
Sean Kirkpatrick rounded out the top ten while Adam Newell finished a lowly 11th after he suffered a mechanical issue on the final lap. Struan Robertson, Maurice Shapley and Cameron Jones rounded out the field with Jones too suffering issues late in the race.
