Logan Childs tops GT3/GT4 qualifying at Hampton Downs
Logan Childs has taken pole position for the first TradeZone GTRNZ GT3/4 race at Hampton Downs. Childs took pole by 0.6s second over James Webb who will start in second in his Star Car.
Jeff Sharp will start from third on the grid after setting a time just 0.14s slower than Webb’s. Shane Whitley will start alongside Sharp in fourth on the grid.
Martyn Todd claimed fifth on the grid, setting a lap 1.7-seconds faster than the qualifying time of Richard Moore who will start from sixth. Sean Browne and Matt Podjursky will start out of seventh and eighth setting 1:51.3 and 1:51.6 laps respectively.
Ken Hunter and Nick James will round out the top ten for the first race of the weekend.
Louis Kuriger was the best of the GT4 class, setting the 12th fastest time overall with a 1:52.8 lap. Steve Elliot, just 0.3s slower, will start second in the GT4 class. Wayne Bryant will start in third with Dave Iceton in fourth. The pair were separated by just half a second.
Jordyn Wallace and Brian Hamilton are separated by three-tenths of a second in fifth and sixth.
