Logan Childs has claimed the TradeZone GTRNZ GT3/GT4 pole position at Pukekohe Park by less than a tenth of a second over Anthony van der Berg.
The pair split by just 0.074s and will start from the front row after setting a 1:13:013 and 1:13:087 respectively.
Shane Whitley and James Webb will start from third and fourth respectively after a tight session that saw them split by 0.05s.
Jeff Sharpe and Sean Browne lock out the third row of the grid, setting a 1:14:297 and 1:14:671 respectively. Richard Moore and Nick Brough take out seventh and eighth separated by only 0.2s.
Maurice Shapley and Nick James were another tight battle on the timesheets, separated by just 0.07s for ninth and tenth on the grid respectively.
In the GT4 class it was Steve Elliot who took out the pole with a 1:17:9, almost half a second faster than Kevin Varney in second. The pair placed 14th and 15th overall.
Brian Hamilton and Joshua Brash will start third and fourth in class, both setting times within a second Elliot.
Jordyn Wallace and Dave Iceton will start on the third row after taking fifth and sixth in GT4 with Louis Kuriger and Robin Greenland behind them in seventh and eighth.
Trent Dixon and Michael Marsh will round out the field finishing ninth and tenth in GT4 and 23rd and 24th overall.
